Who We Are
Our mission is to improve the quality of life for Native American / Alaska Natives living in Arkansas.
The American Indian Center of Arkansas is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit Urban Indian organization located in Little Rock, Arkansas, governed by a Native American / Alaska Native board of directors, providing for the maximum participation of all interested Indian groups and Native American / Alaska Native individuals living in Arkansas. The American Indian Center of Arkansas has operated continuously in the state since 1977.

The American Indian Center of Arkansas is a non-profit organization, led by a Native American/Alaska Native board of directors, that has been operating since 1977. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for Native American/Alaska Native individuals in Arkansas through job training and placement, older American employment and training, mental health services, and education programs.
Our History
The American Indian Center of Arkansas is a vital non-profit organization that has been serving the community since 1977. It is uniquely governed by a board of directors composed of Native American and Alaska Native individuals, ensuring that the leadership reflects the heritage and experiences of the populations it serves.
The center’s mission focuses on promoting the well-being and cultural preservation of Indigenous communities in Arkansas. AICA offers a range of programs and services, including education, workforce training and placement, recovery services, mental health resources, cultural events, and social support initiatives aimed at empowering Native Americans and Alaska Natives in Arkansas.
In addition to fostering community connections and providing resources, the center plays a critical role in advocating for the rights and needs of Indigenous peoples. Through its long-standing commitment to cultural education and community development, the American Indian Center of Arkansas has become a cornerstone for Native American identity and advocacy in the state.
